USEFUL WORDS FOR IMPROVING ENGLISH







About                   -Not Exactly
  Eg:Its about 5 miles to Town.

About To             -Talking about to a subject.
  Eg:What are you talking about to?

Be about to         -Going to do something soon.
  Eg:I am about to sleep.

Be not about to   -Determination
  Eg:I am not about to stop studying English in the class.



Just            -Exactly
   Eg:Just 2 dogs(Exactly 2 dogs)

Only          -Limited to
  Eg:There are only limited tigers are left.

 
Barely          -Very little or Scared.
  Eg:I barely have enough money to eat.
        I barely enough money to pay for the car.

Merely         -Nothing more than or nothing limited(Only)
   Eg:I merely touch , it broke.
         Its merely a wound ,nothing much.





Until         -
                      you cannot leave the office until you finish this work.

Still           -
                     It had been raining still last night.

Yet             -
                    I did not eat lunch yet.

Though/Although  -
                                        Though/Althow the exam was tough,But I thing he did well.

Eventhough          -
                                    Eventhough the exam was easy I failed.

Despite                  -
                                    Despite his best effort ,he could not succeed.

In Spite of            -
                                     In spite of his best effort the man could not succeed.




Too much            -  Uncountable
                             Eg:I have too much suger.
                                   I have to done too much home works.

Too many              -Countable.
                            Eg:There is too many people for the movie.

                            Too much and too many are using for expressing' the -ve things or bad things"

A lot of              -It has the same meaning of Too much and too many but it using it both countable & uncountable nounsfor good(+ve) things.


                    Eg:I have a lot of money.
                          I have a lot of books.
